Team Augmentation for Rapidly Growing SME

Industry: Fintech

Technology: C#, ASP.Net MVC & Web API, WCF, Entity Framework, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Azure, VB, JavaScript

A rapidly growing financial services organisation was struggling to scale up operations to meet the demand from increasing sales opportunities.

Their challenge included short-staffed development, project management and quality assurance teams, putting crucial large-scale projects at risk and jeopardising businesses growth objectives. Additionally, each project presented a unique approach and specialised skill set. The time it was taking to recruit and onboard the required staff in-house simply wasn’t realistic.

They had engaged with outsourced staffing and development agencies in the past but couldn’t find a good fit that allowed for a wide range of flexible rates.

A combination of hourly and daily rates allowed team resources to easily scale up and down depending on workload. Regular communication and daily briefings also ensured projects were kept on track and within budget.

The partnership has continued long-term, allowing for the SME to focus on sales opportunities and business growth, confident that operations had the necessary support and framework in place to meet demand. This has resulted in increased revenue from new projects, shorter time-to-deliver and lower recruitment and HR costs.

Omnichannel Payment Suite

Industry: Medical

Technology: C#, ASP.Net MVC, NHibernate, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Azure, GitHub, ADO.Net

We worked with a reputable private hospital who wanted to increase cash flow, improve efficiency and payment security for patients and their credit control team.

Our team developed a bespoke integrated payment solution that utilised a number of payment methods across card machines, automated telephone IVR, SMS and email. The technology brought together a lot of individual elements into a fully integrated system that worked harmoniously with their central invoicing system.

The project was initially launched within a single department and has proven so successful in increasing revenue and payment convenience, it is being deployed across the entire organisation. The client continues to work with the Aspira team to fine-tune the solution to provide further commercial benefits and a greater ROI.

Energy Top-Up Mobile App

Industry: Utilities

Technology: Xamarin, ASP.Net Web API, C#, Entity Framework, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Azure, Sharepoint

A rapidly growing energy provider wanted a way for customers to self-serve and manage their own accounts on their mobile smartphones, including adding credit to their electric and gas top-up meters.

The team worked closely with customer experience stakeholders, technical leads and multiple external providers to deliver an easy-to-use mobile app for iPhone and Android devices.

The project ranged from initial concept, UX design, technical development, through to customer deployment on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The mobile app was within budget and met their specific requirements. It is used by thousands of customers daily to manage their energy supply and has assisted in drastically reducing the inbound calls to the client’s busy contact centre teams.

Right to Work Document Processing

Industry: Retail, Distribution, Manufacturing

Technology: C#, ASP.Net MVC, Quartz.Net, NHibernate, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Azure, JavaScript, GitHub

One of the team’s enterprise-scale projects involved a bespoke application platform used by multiple organisations, collectively hiring thousands of candidates a year across various locations around the globe.

A centralised portal was developed for candidates to upload their right to work documents to potential employers.

It was designed to handle large and extensive database information, different branding styles, multiple file types, checking and categorising information with integrated 3rd parity identification systems.

The system was hugely successful in reducing human error, improving communication and feedback to candidates, saving hundreds of hours in manual work for HR and employment departments every month.

It is independently hosted by the client, whilst Aspira maintain and develop the platform on an ongoing basis. We work with the client and their partners to develop future roadmap features and configure it to accommodate new countries and markets.

Parking Fine and Permit Management

Industry: Local Government

Technology: Angular, C#, .Net Core, NHibernate, Microsoft SQL, GitHub, Azure DevOps

A client representing multiple local borough councils wanted to consolidate the process involved when issuing and paying thousands of parking fines a month.

Working closely with the client, the team developed a system that not only integrated with a variety of back-office systems, but allowed for unique workflows and processes for each council and car park location. The key was creating a robust and secure solution that allowed for flexibility and customisation as additional councils were added.

The result provided each council with a branded, PCI-DSS Level 1 secure card payment portal, available 24/7. Users could pay single or multiple fines quickly and conveniently, reducing the need for council staff to chase payments or involve costly debt enforcement agencies.

The platform was so successful, additional features such as annual parking permits and temporary visitor passes were added to create a one-stop-shop for any parking related enquiries by local residents.

Hosted on the Aspira infrastructure, the solution is managed day-to-day by our certified developers and technical team, providing ongoing IT support and troubleshooting.
